England stars will have to share a staggering £13million bonus if they bring home the World Cup.
Hugely increased odds are in store for the Three Lions to surprise the favorites and win football’s biggest trophy since 1966.
Players could also land huge individual pots with a win over Qatar.
According to the Mail, along with their winners’ medals, the England stars will each receive a personal pot of £500k in bonus wins.
This is a huge increase from the last World Cup in 2018, when England reached the semi-finals in Russia, and players earned £215,000.
Total incentives are as much as £13m after more than doubling the size of the players’ bonus pot from the 2018 World Cup.
Meanwhile, manager Gareth Southgate will collect a £3m bonus if he follows in Alf Ramsey’s footsteps and makes England world champions, as Sunsport revealed last month.
This will be in addition to the former Middlesbrough boss’ £3m salary.
The big increase in bonuses draws England closer to their international rivals, who in 2018 offered an even bigger win bonus than the Three Lions.
England’s prize pot is now the same as that of Germany and Belgium, while Brazil offers the biggest money haul.
