Lakers’ Patrick Beverley suspended three games for punching Suns’ Deandre Ayton

Los Angeles Lakers guard Patrick Beverley has been suspended three games by the NBA for brawling Phoenix Suns Center Deandre Ayton In the back, dropped him to the ground in Tuesday’s game in Phoenix.

Beverley was assessed a technical foul and ejected from the game.

“From what I saw, Ayton was standing there (Reeves) ready to walk,” Hamm said. “I’m not mad at (Beverley). He’s out there protecting his teammate and I’m sure he’s going to face some sort of consequence for that, but that’s what we have to be. Teams need to know they’re not just can push us around.”
