Pokémon Go players have experienced some massive crashing disruption in the game, now urging Niantic to get a grip on the issue with a hotfix update.

The mobile game, available on both iOS and Android devices, is getting trainers excited for the upcoming Astral Eclipse event for the Sun and Moon.

However, the run-up to the festivities hasn’t been smooth as usual for some users.

It has been reported that the game experiences frequent crashing in many places, but mainly in battles.

The user said, “Battle-related aspects of Pokémon Go have higher-than-usual crash rates and are currently being investigated.”

It appears that the freezing bug may not be limited to battles.

Another user said: “I had a mid-battle crash, a grappling crash, and the weirdest all in one crash when trying to claim a full field research. Looks like they can’t do anything.” Can hit while doing.”

A third poster added: “My game is also crashing trying to open or send gifts, rate pokemon, and open gyms. Been trying to send gifts for the past half hour and after all that’s crashing I still Could only send three.”

Some members of the community have suggested that reverting to the previous version of the game, 0.253.1, could prevent the frequency of the crashes.

Reportedly being investigated by Niantic, it appears that an emergency update could be rolled out to quickly eliminate the disruption. Obviously, the players want the process to be expedited as soon as possible.
