After experiencing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for themselves, Pokémon trainers are now requesting a major revamp for the next mainline installment: voice acting.

The recent Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launches may have had some glaring performance issues, but the new release has been widely praised for its story and presentation.

With charming visuals and explosive animations, players all over the world have been mesmerized. So much so that this launch has become Nintendo’s fastest selling release ever.

However, a downside has divided a section of the community. While the new iteration appears to be a step up in most aspects, the lack of voice acting has left many players wanting more from the follow-up.

Pokémon fans want voice acting for Generation 10

A Reddit user created a post on November 24, expressing his desire to voice act in the next mainline installment of the franchise.

“Scarlet/Violet had great cutscenes, which made the exclusion of voice talent all the more noticeable. The next game needs voice acting, period,” he said.

“Some of the scenes in this game would have been quite loud and extremely memorable with the voice work behind it. You can feel There’s great family entertainer magic behind it, but without any voice acting it falls so flat in comparison could Ho,” the player continued.

Many users are in great agreement with the user.

Another Pokémon fan said, “Even something like Persona 5 where they at least make sounds or say a few words would be very welcome.”

Redditor ShinyGrezz said, “Not every line of dialogue needs to be voiced (though some grunts would be nice) but the cutscenes should be voiced.”

It’s impossible to say whether or not Pokémon will implement voice acting in future mainline entries. But considering the vast majority of triple-A games involve voice acting, one would assume it was only a matter of time until The Pokémon Company took up the practice.
