USA 1 Wales 1 Live reaction: Bell penalty cancels WEH opener as points shared in Doha – World Cup latest updates

‘We’ve lost a little bit of power,’ says Berhalter

USMNT Head Coach Greg Berhalter Told Fox Sports said he believed his team “lost a bit of power” late on during their 1–1 draw with Wales.

He continued: “But in the same sense, Wales increased their pressing and we had some good opportunities to counter-attack.

“But, I thought the boys handled it well. We kept going till the end. It was a tough match. We left it all there.”

Berhalter praised Wells for a more direct approach in the second half, stating how he believed it was difficult for the US to keep them at bay because of their size.

He explained: “Wales went very straight in the second half, and they have a big team, and that made it difficult.

“So, I think we managed a lot of our pressure well, but when they hit long balls and play for the second ball, it becomes difficult.”
