Kafu showing support for Wales
Brazil legend Cafu cheered on the Wales stars as he lent his support to Wales in their first World Cup in 64 years.
A Budweiser ad emerged featuring the smiling samba star – a two-time winner of the contest – wearing a bucket hat and speaking in Welsh.
Kafu said: “Wells, you’re welcome, you last played in the World Cup 64 years ago and your comeback has been an inspiration to everyone including me. Good luck boys!
Long-serving midfielder Jonny Williams revealed it was a Wales hotel thing, saying: “We were completely taken aback, we joked a bit about it at dinner. Well done to us with our bucket hats on.” best wishes from.”
“I even got tagged in an Instagram post from Budweiser. Everyone couldn’t believe what they were seeing.”
Spurs defender Ben Davies – himself a Welsh speaker – said: “I saw the video and it’s class!
“It’s strange to see someone like Cafu wearing a bucket hat and trying to speak a little Welsh, but it’s great, and it shows we’re doing all the right things on and off the pitch.”
